Who is Sovereign?- Insight from May 31, 2017

Son, I am sovereign; you are not. I know everything that has and will happen; you do not.

I know what you will do tomorrow; you do not.

You have plans; I know your steps.

You think about what could be and I know what will be.

You say, “I will,” and I know you won't.

You say, “I won't,” and I know you will.

Your perceived control affects, both positively and negatively, your outlook and your actions.

John 15:4-8 NIV
[4] Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. [5] “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. [6] If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. [7] If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. [8] This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

You are and will be your best when you remain in me and remember that only I am sovereign. Let me do what only I can do and you do what only you can do.

Your desire to be God-like will be a constant battle for you. It is for many people. Knowledge, power, money, and influence are barriers you put up, whether knowingly or not, that hinder our relationship and when and how I work in your life.

It is a decision I leave to you.

Will you let me rule over your life or will you try to rule your own?

Settle it today and let me rule over your life. Trust me. I know what's best for you.
